Dr Beyers is a compassionate and meticulous general surgeon who will perform a wide range of specialized surgical services at Lady Pohamba Private Hospital. Dr Beyers completed his M.B.,Ch.B. at University of Stellenbosch in 1994 and the following year he started his internship at Helderberg Hospital, Somerset West. In 1996 he was appointed as Senior house officer in the United Kingdom in multiple disciplines and in 1998 Dr Beyers started as registrar in General Surgery at Tygerberg Hospital. He obtained his Fellowship of the College of Surgeon of South Africa in 2002 and in 2003 he received his MMed(Chir)(Stell) Degree. Doctor started in private practice in Somerset West as General Surgeon where he did sessions at the state hospital for 8 years, thus worked as a Private Practicing General Surgeon in Somerset West for almost 21 years. He enjoys the diversity that general surgery brings and therefore it is difficult to make a choice of preference. He likes the challenges of each field and did his post graduate courses and workshops in most fields from laparoscopic work to head-neck and breast. Laparoscopic surgery techniques remain a rapidly developing field and requires ongoing learning and skill development, which Dr Beyers enjoys, and he embraces minimal invasive laparoscopic techniques in all suitable surgeries.
