With over 10 years experience in Paediatric medicine, Dr Itana has always dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment to children from birth to the age of 12 years of age.

Dr Elago-Itana obtained her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2008.She did her internship 2009- 2010 in Windhoek hospital complex. She then joined Paediatric department at Katutura Intermediate Hospital in 2011 as a medical officer.

She completed her paediatric specialization at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town South Africa in 2020 and Her Master of Medicine degrees in Paediatric at the University of Stellenbosch 2020. During her four years of specialization, she was exposed to various paediatric conditions both acute and chronic and hence she master how to treat them under the guidance of different sub specialist paediatricians and experienced general Paediatrician in Tygerberg Hospital .

Dr Itana is devoted to providing holistic approach to children seeking medical attention both in private and public health facilities. She ensures her patients, and their guardians are well informed with regards to the diagnosis and treatment of their little one.

Dr Itana is a mother to two boys and if she is not doing ward rounds or seeing patients and her practice, she is busy running as she strongly believes in exercising and an active lifestyle .
