We are delighted to welcome Dr. Rikotamenee Hange, Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeon, to LPPH.
Dr Hange is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon dedicated to restoring function and dignity for patients with complex craniofacial conditions. He holds specialist qualifications from the University of the Witwatersrand and the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
He completed his dental degree at Trinity College Dublin (graduating with honors) and later pursued specialist training at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. During his rigorous five-year residency, he gained extensive experience in trauma care, reconstructive surgery and complex craniofacial procedures at one of the region’s busiest academic hospitals.
Dr. Hange has served as a specialist and Head of the Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at Katutura State Hospital. Before this, he served as Chief Dental Officer at Walvis Bay State Hospital, where he led to the development of a modern and fully functional dental and surgical service. Dr. Hange also contributed to academic training as a Consultant and lecturer in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hage Geingob School of Health Sciences for five years.
His surgical expertise includes maxillofacial trauma management, tumour surgery, reconstructive procedures, orthognathic surgery, and the treatment of severe infections of the face and neck. He also has a special interest in paediatric maxillofacial surgery, including congenital anomalies such as cleft lip and palate.
