His journey in the field of cardiology began with rigorous training at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, affiliated with University of Witwatersrand (Wits). He obtained his Fellowship of the College of Physicians of South Africa in 2016 and spent three years practicing as Specialist Physician before pursuing further sub-specialization in Cardiology, which he successfully obtained in 2022.
His expertise spans both invasive and non-invasive cardiology, making him well-equipped to provide holistic care to our patients. His specialized areas of focus include heart failure management, diagnostic coronary angiograms, and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) for acute and stable coronary artery disease, management of high blood pressure and abnormal heart rhythms.
Beyond his clinical practice, he also finds fulfillment in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, sharing knowledge and expertise with the next generation of medical professionals.
What sets Dr. Segula apart is his compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare. He values effective communication and strives to build strong relationships with his patients, ensuring they feel heard and understood throughout their treatment journey.
Outside his professional life, he takes time out with his family. He also enjoys playing basketball, reflecting his active and energetic personality.
