On a hot summer’s day in October, a small family gathering in the capital took a devastating turn when Hein suffered a tragic accident while diving into a pool. The initial diagnosis – a C7/C8 spinal cord injury – suggested incomplete paraplegia, a life-altering challenge that few can truly prepare for.

But Hein’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. After 111 days at Lady Pohamba Private Hospital, his resilience, determination, and the unwavering dedication of his medical team have led to an incredible milestone: Hein can now stand with a walking frame, mobilize, and even crawl! Prayers were answered.

On January 31st, Hein was able to return home to his loved ones – a moment made possible through expert care, tireless rehabilitation, and the steadfast support of family and friends.
