External Disease Surveillance Review for Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs)

World Health Organization (WHO) and National Epidemiology division has conducted an in-depth and comprehensive external disease surveillance review for vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs). The objective for the surveillance is to make specific recommendations for achieving and maintaining high-quality surveillance of AFP (Acute Flaccid Paralysis) and other VPDs. Vaccine preventable diseases include the likes of measles, neonatal tetanus, meningitis, and yellow fever.
