Over the past weekend, LPPH staff came together and brought their culinary skills to the hospital. Every unit made their own potjie along with a poster which showcased the “Benefits” that they get from the hospital and that matched with an ingredient of their choice. Each ward had a unique twist on their potjies. After the judges tasted, they had the opportunity to share their dishes with the rest of the team. The atmosphere was electric, and you could feel the comradery!
It was a difficult decision (because ALL the potjies were amazing!), but THEATRE won this year! The cowboy theme had something for everyone. Bales of hay to rest your feet, sheriff badges and horseshoes (game of tic-tac-toe) and even a makeshift jail for the culprits who misbehaved.
